J&S Piling can undertake all manner of foundation work ranging from Piled Retaining Walls to Ground Slabs and anything in between.
Piled Retaining Walls
These are mainly used in excavations to retain soil, sand and water. With the addition of concrete beams, they can form the foundations and single piles can also be used as footings. It is beneficial to install piled retaining walls before excavation of adjacent buildings and structures begins. This is so that the buildings will be protected from damage or collapse.
Ground Beams
Cast in-situ reinforced concrete ground beams are designed to support the brick/ blockwork & load bearing floors of a proposed build. Designed reinforcement will be used to suit specific loading requirements and the beams can be designed to withstand heave forces with the use of void forming or compressible materials. This work varies from conservatories, domestic house extensions, new build plots and commercial developments.
Ground Slabs
Ground Slabs are often used in place of a standard block and beam floor, they can be used independently of a ground beam or in conjunction with them, depending upon the structure's requirements. Slabs can be used
for garages, extensions or the construction
of a complete new property.
